After the succuess of the Scottsdale auction earlier this year, the World’s Greatest Auction is back!!! On April 17-19, Barrett Jackson will hold their auction in West Palm Beach, Florida.
One of my favorite things to do is to see what will cross the auction block and pick out the vehicles that easily catch my eye. This particular docket was a little tough to narrow down my choices, but I was able to pick my Top 30 choices. So without further ado, here’s the final 15 picks of my Top 30 vehicles up for auction at the West Palm Beach location of Barrett Jackson.
Kicking off the countdown is a 2012 Nissan GTR parked in Lot 382. While gathering a massive cult following internationally through the ’90s and early 2000s, the U.S. debut for the GTR certainly lived up to the hype. Twin turbo V6 delivering 530hp with 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Stationed in Lot 387 is a 1987 Buick Grand National GNX. Ultra limited and collectible, this fully original GNX is a quality car. Number 385 with only 362 actual miles.
Located in Lot 394 is a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle- the original “Herbie the Love Bug”. Previously owned by Walt Disney Productions and used in the Herbie movie series, including “Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo” and “Herbie Goes Bananas.” Loads of documentation, including a copy of the title from Disney.
Expect to find a 1989 Lamborghini Countach Anniversary Edition parked in Lot 405. A super example of the iconic supercar. This anniversary edition Countach has been driven just 2000 miles and has been meticulously maintained.
A few lots away from the Countach is a 2009 Spyker C8 Laviolette located in Lot 409. One of four cars in Burnt Almond Orange and has black leather interior with orange quilted stitching. 495 actual miles. Original MSRP was $235,000.
Residing in Lot 425 is a 1967 Chevy Chevelle SS. ’67 Chevelle Resto-Mod with a Katech LS7 606hp engine, Roadster Stage III chassis, Detroit Speed suspension, custom interior by Paul Atkins, custom three-color paint, LEDs to showcase interior and under the hood, Willans 4-point harnesses and much more.
Next on the auction block is a 2006 Ford GT Heritage in Lot 434. Still on MSO, McIntosh stereo, Heritage paint, painted brake calipers, lightweight forged aluminum wheels, 2,400 actual miles with original window sticker.
Parked in Lot 439 is a 2005 Bentley Continental GT. This exceptionally stunning and meticulously maintained since new off the showroom floor GT was sold new in Scottsdale, AZ, and has less than 38,800 pampered original miles.
A 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer Convertible is up for grabs in Lot 455. Professionally restored and painted correct Heather Rose/Saphire White. It has new chrome, trim and weather stripping, new black power convertible top, an original”Red Ram” 270cid HEMI engine with Fluid Drive automatic tranksmission.
Take a walk with me to Lot 468 where we’lll find a 2009 Rolls Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase. This very rare ’09 Phantom extended wheelbase provides luxurious, lounge-like proportions and an indulgent private space to worl, relax, and entertain.
Only five more left and parked in Lot 478 is a 2007 Shelby GT500 Super Snake. Under this GT500’s lightweight Super Snake hood is a 725hp, Kenne Bell supercharged, 5.4-liter engine. This Shelby-tuned suspension and Baer 6-piston brakes offer improved handling and stopping power. Super Snake logos can be found throughout the car.
Occupying Lot 487 is a 1965 Volkswagen 21-Window Bus. Ground up restoration to M Code specifications. Newe everything from tires to top. Rebuilt 1,600 SP motor, Type 3 transmission with notched spring plates and adjustable front beam. This is a fresh restoration.
Lot 675 is the temporary home of a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Custom designed by Sanderson Customs and George Barris, the King of Kustomizing. Custom interior, paint, wheels, hydraulic suspension, and Lambo style doors. Dash signed by George Barris at SEMA auto show. 3,899 original miles.
Stationed in Lot 3001 is a 2016 Cadillac CT6. The winning bidder will receive the first retail production vehicle. A letter of authenticity will be provided. The 2016 Cadillac CT6 is an entirely new approach to the prestige luxury sedan.
And last, but never least- is a 2015 Chevy Camaro Copo Race Car in Lot 3003. 2015 will be the last year Gen 5 COPO Camaros will be built. This vehicle was a special built display vehicle featured in the Chevrolet display at the 2014 SEMA show. Not street legal, sold on Bill of Sale only.
